Steve Wilburn made a commitment to Christ when he was eighteen years old. After his parents divorced at the age of 16, Steve went down all the wrong paths in life. This led him to a place where he felt like he had to reach up to touch the bottom. After receiving Jesus into his heart, everything changed. He embraced the Bible as a lifeline and accepted it for what it is – The Word of God. Then he met his wife Laurie in church – they have been married for forty years and have four children and ten grandchildren. Currently Steve is the pastor of Core Church Los Angeles, a church that he and his wife planted on the Westside of LA in 2010. Core has continued grow at an incredible pace. Prior to planting Core, Steve was an associate Pastor at Harvest Christian Fellowship under Pastor Greg Laurie for fifteen years. He is an entertaining, yet challenging speaker. His commitment to God’s Word and passion for the Gospel are evident in his enthusiastic, relevant style of teaching. He is heard on multiple radio stations 5 to 7 days a week.
